Testament Twosomes at Grace Church

We continue into 2011 without Sunday School theme "Testament Twosomes." Exploring the various teams that contributed to God's story and our faith story helps our children in their faith development. Some of the teams we have learned about include husbands and wives, friends, siblings, teacher and student, and other configurations. Sunday School groups are learning through the workshop rotation model of crafts, games, storytelling, videos, and more. Everyone meets in the Gathering Space at 8:45 a.m. each Sunday for songs, offering, and mission project information. At 9:00, kids move to the following:

• Children under age three will be in the Nursery Class with Paige Bielefeldt. Four and five year olds are in a pre-school class with Kayla Simons.
• A variety of activities led by men and women of the church are organized in a rotation model for Kindergartners through 4th graders.

In May, the children will learn about Jonathan and David and the ways in which children and youth can remain strong friends in difficult times.  May teachers are Barbara Cullen and Connie & Dave Nielsen.

Reel-to-Real, 5th through 8th grades

Though May, the class will be watching and discussing a new movie, to be announced.  Keep checking the bulletins for more information.  Thanks!

We’re still going…Like the energizer bunny for summer. GRACE CHURCH will be meeting during the summer-every Sunday. Our children will be learning about Holy Communion (June 5) and Holy Spirit/Pentecost (June 12) with Pastor David and the stories of the Creation, Jonah and the Resurrection of Christ and more through the end of July and many more. And of course, we will be singing those VBS tunes for most of the summer.
